Dream 11, Hobart Hurricanes vs Adelaide Strikers | Big bash 2017-18 | Bellerive Oval, Hobart

January 4th 2017.

This is the 17th match of big bash league and yet Hobart hurricanes will be facing Adelaide Strikers for the first time this year. This match will be held at Bellerive Oval,  Hobart. If you do not have much information about this ground or the teams then do not worry. I will be sharing all these information with you. I will also share some dream 11 strategies that I use to create my team and as a bonus I will be sharing the team that I am going to use in dream 11 contests. So let’s begin with the squad first.

SQUAD:

HOBART HURRICANES :

George Bailey ©, Jofra Archer, Cameron Boyce, Dan Christian, Alex Doolan, Ben McDermott, Simon Milenko, Tymal Mills, Nathan Reardon, Tom Rogers, Clive Rose, D’Arcy Short, Matthew Wade

ADELAIDE STRIKERS :

Travis Head ©, Wes Agar, Alex Carey (wk), Jono Dean, Colin Ingram, Rashid Khan, Ben Laughlin, Jake Lehmann, Michael Neser, Peter Siddle, Billy Stanlake, Jake Weatherald, Jonathan Wells

Well, comparing these two squads we can easily tell that Adelaide are way more stronger than Hurricanes and probably they will win the game one sided. But, we should not forget that it’s a T20 game and Hurricane have D’Short in their team. He has ability to turn the stats around. He is more like Chris Gayle, one man army. So, we will have to look for these facts as well.

Apart from D’short, Hurricanes can rely on McDermott, Doolan, followed by well experienced George Bailey and then Christian. Hurricane’s batting line up is good enough to put a decent score on the board or chase down a big total. The only problem is that, most of their players are seems to be out of form. But, you never know when a player gets his form back.

While making a dream team we should always keep a few things in our mind. 1. Try to create a team where all of the players are in playing 11 of their respective teams. That way you will not get 0 at the start of the game and chances of you winning a league will be there till the end of the game. In a small league you always have chance to bounce back with a perfect playing 11. Even if your captain or vice captain doesn’t do well, you still have a chance to win that league. 2.  We do not care which team will win or loose. We just have to look for the players, who can contribute to our dream 11 team. We can pick a big name from a winning team who gets out early and gives us 0 points or we can analyse the situation or create a scenario and pick a player from the loosing team who we think will perform good enough to provide us winning points.

Probable 11 for Hurricane : D’Short, McDermott, Doolan, Bailey and Christian, Jofra Archer, Tymal Mills, Cameron Boyce, Clive Rose, Wade and Milenko.

Now coming to Adelaide Strikers, they are loaded with performers. Adelaide’s Probable 11 : Travis Head, Alex Carey (wk), Colin Ingram, Rashid Khan, Ben Laughlin, Jake Lehmann, Michael Neser, Peter Siddle, Billy Stanlake, Jake Weatherald, Jonathan Wells.

The ground will be favouring the batsman but it’s hard to give you a number as Hurricane’s batting performance is not that consistent. If Adelaide will bat first then we can expect 170 or more score on the board.

My Dream Team:

I am going to provide you a very balanced team for small league. You change the captain and vice captain as per your wish. I am going with this team. Other great options for Captain and vice captain according to me are: D’Short, Ben Laughin, Christian and Rashid. Once again: Please don’t go big!
